What You'll Do:

• Oversee all general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.
• Monitor departmental spending, enforce accountability, and ensure alignment with approved budgets
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy through workflow improvements and automation tools.
• Prepare and present timely, accurate financial reports and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate audit activities and maintain robust internal controls to uphold compliance standards.
• Mentor and guide team members, set clear performance goals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Define and track key performance indicators to proactively identify trends and performance gaps.
• Partner with operations and other departments to ensure cohesive data management and smooth business processes.
• Contribute to high-impact initiatives and special projects to drive organizational success.
• Develop annual budgets, monitor expenditures, and produce forward-looking financial projections based on historical data and future expectations.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership roles
• CPA certification or CPA candidate highly preferred, but not a requirement
• Experience leading monthly close processes and financial audits 
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage)
• Experience with data analysis and data reporting tools preferred
• Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
• Acute judgment and ability to translate complexity to simplicity
