Finance and Accounting Manager

What You'll Do:
- Oversee all general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.
- Monitor departmental spending, enforce accountability, and ensure alignment with approved budgets
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy through workflow improvements and automation tools.
- Prepare and present timely, accurate financial reports and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate audit activities and maintain robust internal controls to uphold compliance standards.
- Mentor and guide team members, set clear performance goals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Define and track key performance indicators to proactively identify trends and performance gaps.
- Partner with operations and other departments to ensure cohesive data management and smooth business processes.
- Contribute to high-impact initiatives and special projects to drive organizational success.
- Develop annual budgets, monitor expenditures, and produce forward-looking financial projections based on historical data and future expectations.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership roles
- CPA certification or CPA candidate highly preferred, but not a requirement
- Experience leading monthly close processes and financial audits
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage)
- Experience with data analysis and data reporting tools preferred
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
- Acute judgment and ability to translate complexity to simplicity
